As fall begins, use fall plants and themes in creating great curb appeal. Remove spent summer annuals and replace them with chrysanthemums, kale, pansies and marigolds. Mums, pansies and marigolds are available in oranges and yellow colors; yellow is often referred to as the number one home selling color. You can always use pumpkins and squashes for a fun accent.
The 21st Annual Newport Beach Fire and Lifeguard Appreciation Dinner will be taking place on Thursday, September 20th. Awards will be given for Firefighter of the Year, Lifeguard Supervisor of the Year and Seasonal Lifeguard of the Year. In addition, awards will be given to special honorees and merit award winners. There will be a gourmet dinner with cocktails and a live band will provide entertainment. The dinner event is being held at the Newport Beach Marriot Hotel and Spa. The Marriott is located at 900 Newport Center Drive in Newport Beach. The dinner begins at 5:30pm and continues until 8:30pm. Tickets at $65 per person, table sponsorships are available.
