The Susan G. Komen Orange County, More Than Pink Walk is taking place on Sunday, September 19^th. The More Than Pink Walk evolved from the Race for a Cure walks, with over 100,000 participants each year across the United States. The Sherman Library and Gardens is hosting a Mosaic Stepping Stone Class. On Tuesday, February 27^th, the mosaic workshop will be held in the outdoor classroom. The workshop is taught by mosaic artist David Jarvinen. You will learn to use tools and adhesive. You will begin with a compound tile snipper to create the shapes you are looking for. A grout kit will be sent home with each participant to complete the project at home after the adhesive dries. The Sherman Library and Gardens is hosting a workshop: Creating Bonsai with Dwarf Camellias. The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 25^th from 10am to 1pm. Debra Mauzy-Melitz, from Orange Empire Bonsai Society will teach you how to display a camellia in a traditional Japanese style and then how to maintain the plant. The 115^th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights will be held December 13^th through December 17^th. Watch as boats of all sizes from kayaks and canoes to yachts that are festively decorated take part in the parade. Each night the parade begins at 6:30pm and runs until approximately 9pm. The Newport Theatre Arts Center hosting performances of Inspecting Carol, November 16^th through December 10^th.
