The Sherman Library and Gardens is hosting a workshop: Creating Bonsai with Dwarf Camellias. The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 25th from 10am to 1pm. Debra Mauzy-Melitz, from Orange Empire Bonsai Society will teach you how to display a camellia in a traditional Japanese style and then how to maintain the plant. You will prepare a camellia in the Fukinagashi (windswept) style in a wooden box, with dragon embellishments to celebrate the year of the dragon.
