When you are purchasing a home, there is always a chance you will end up in a bidding war.  To have the most successful outcome, rather that outcome is winning the bidding war or knowing when to walk away, plan out this situation with your realtor before you begin looking at homes. Your realtor is your best resource in this situation. Set-up parameters at the beginning of your home search process with the upper limits of what you can afford or are willing to spend, prior to becoming emotionally involved with your dream home.
