The Annual Old Glory Boat Parade celebrating the Fourth of July will get underway at 1pm on the 4th of July. The boat parade sets off from Collins Island and proceeds throughout Newport Harbor for two hours. This year’s parade theme is Celebrating Our Heros. Come out and take part or watch all the fabulously decorated boats as they cruise by. Boat decoration parade winners will be announced at the Awards Banquet held on Sunday, July 24th at 6:30pm. This is a daylong celebration. The American Legion Post 291 is kicking off the day with a pancake breakfast which starts at 7am. A lunch buffet will be held from 12 noon to 5pm. There will be music throughout the day and the day will conclude with the fireworks show over Newport Harbor at 9pm. The boat parade is free to participate in.
