DeepSea Challenger team member Bruce Sutphen will be leading a discussion at ExplorOcean on Thursday, November 7th, 2013. Beginning at 7pm, the discussion will take you to the deepest places on Earth. Bruce Sutphen will be discussing the anatomy of the DeepSea Challenger manned underwater vehicle. This vehicle is an engineering marvel, with vertical attitude and made from innovative materials. Bruce is the US Project manager for the DeepSea Challenger Project. He was present from the fabrication and assembly to the deep sea dives made by the vehicle. Bruce has also been a member of the Mariana and New Britain Trench dive teams.
