Enjoy an assortment of sweet and savory delights in the casually elegant living room of the resort. Afternoon tea, or high tea, began in the mid 1800’s, when the Duchess of Bedford would have a tray of tea with bread and butter served in the mid-afternoon to prevent her fainting spells. After this became a regular occurrence, she began to invite other high-society ladies to attend. The Great Room at the Pelican Hill Resort serves afternoon tea from 2:30PM to 5PM, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
