The Newport Aquatic Center is located in the Back Bay area of Newport Beach. This is an Olympic level facility open to all area residents. The center was founded in 1982 and was built in 1987. The public is welcome to come enjoy rowing, canoeing, kayaking and outrigger canoeing. Rowers and paddlers of all ages and ability levels are welcome. NAC offers classes from both local instructors and colleges. Private instruction is also available. Members can rent equipment to enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding in the bay. Many national teams from Europe come to the Newport Aquatic Center throughout the year to hone their skills. The center hosts may different events, at many different skill levels all year long.
